A small flock of Nyctosaurus gracilis rise up higher to avoid a giant Ornithocheirus sp. on his path from South America to Europe. You never know what those big guys will come up with next... ___________________________
What started as a morning sketch yesterday, turned into a somewhat refined image. I cannot say that I'm not satisfied, but I think I should really get back into doing proper sketches and preparations before doing a full image...
PS.: One of the reasons I chose Ornithocheirus for this image is the fact, that he is among the few dinosaur/pterosaur discoveries of Austria, which happens to be my home as well. I will be doing some more research on more primeval inhabitants of this country, so stay tuned!
PPS.: The only texture used on the body was being made available by , thank you for that!
PPPS.: I just realised that there is a finger missing on each hand. Oh dear...
Absolutely! I think they did an amazing job at making the animals believable. The movement, the lighting, the colours were extremely well balanced throughout the whole series.
That is so true! However, Walking with Monsters had some cutting errors, like the Cephalaspis leaving the screen before it reached the top, but that was the only thing that I didn't like about the whole series. However, nobody cares about cutting errors! The show is awesome anyway!
